Mimmi är i Australien!

Jippie!

G'day class,

I am in Sydney, Australia!
After leaving Oslo, I flew via Dubai to Adelaide, Australia. This is me in the aeroplane.

Adelaide is a beautiful city on the south coast of Australia with many fine beaches, natural landscapes, and native flora and fauna close to city.
But I didn't stay long in Adelaide. My travelling companion who had been with me all the way from Norway was moving from Adelaide to Sydney so we drove all the way. It took two whole days of driving in the car. The Australian countryside and it's towns provide an interesting insight into the lives of Australians living outside the big cities, which are all on the coast. Many people in the interior rely on farming to make a living. We saw many vineyards, wheat, cattle and sheep farms on the drive as well as plenty of natural bush land where native animals like kangaroos live.
The key feature of country Australia that both people and animals need to survive is its creeks and rivers. Country Australia can be a very dry and harsh environment and the health of the creek and river system is extremely important. The picture below is on the banks of the Murray River near a town called Mildura.

Over the next few days I plan to see the sights of Sydney. I think I might visit the famous opera house and the harbour bridge. I'll be sure to send you some photos!

Until my next adventure report, see ya!

Mimmi
